Dr. Abigail K. Hasberry is a transracial adoptee, birth mother, Ph.D. researcher, licensed therapist, and published author. She is one of the only speakers who occupies multiple points of the adoption constellation at the scholarly level. Her current research centers the experiences of adopted women who relinquish children to adoption, and offers a framework to understand their experiences. Her memoir Adopting Privilege and the R3 Framework (Reflect, Release, Reinvent) are reshaping how clinicians, legal professionals, educators, and organizations understand identity, privilege, and belonging.
